Understanding consent statuses:

• OPT_OUT- sets automatically if a contact marks an email message as spam, clicks the Unsubscribe link or sends in a stop keyword.
• OPT_IN - a contact has provided consent.
• OPT_IN_UNVERIFIED - applies to double opt-ins pending verification.

Note

If at least one consent group within a channel is set to OPT_INfor a contact, the whole channel acquires the OPT_IN status for that contact.
