Exchange - Connect user data with Personalization

Overview

Acoustic Exchange helps marketers connect customer identities across their marketing platforms. It helps them to understand individual customers' cross-channel behavior in context.

In Exchange, you register your application as an endpoint. The publisher endpoint is the source that generates event data or visitor data. It then passes the data to Exchange. The subscriber endpoint is the destination for the event or visitor data from the source.

You can register the Personalization endpoints in Exchange to receive the events data. Register your analytics library as the publisher and Personalization as the subscriber. You can then subscribe to the events from the analytics library. The events data from the analytics library flows to Personalization through Exchange.

Before you begin

  • Subscribe to an Exchange account to use with Personalization. Contact Acoustic support to get an Exchange account provisioned.
  • Register your channel in Personalization and have the channel ID available with you.

You only need one Personalization publisher endpoint and one Personalization subscriber endpoint. You can use the same endpoints can be used to personalize many channels.
You can have any analytics library configured to your channel. The events data from those libraries are sent to the one subscriber endpoint.
